This was a very difficult location to paint. It was above the cabinets, which was actually three feet above the refrigerator. I painted it on a lightweight natural cotton fabric and sealed it at home. The process of installation was much more difficult than the painting. With the assistance of a good friend and my husband, we hung it just like wallpaper. After it was in place, I handpainted any areas that I felt might need it.
If I were to do another mural of this kind, I would rent scaffolding or have a professional wallpaper hanger install it for me.
In the end, I am happy with the results.
