Looking to Hire a Muralist or Faux Painter?

Wall murals and faux finishing both fall into the category of decorative painting. Decorative painters are asked to wear many hats and may provide many different types of finishes to complete a single project.

Let's talk about a couple of examples...

If you want a cloud scene painted on your ceiling, the artist you hire will use faux painting techniques, such as color washing, to achieve the desired effect. What if you want a tree painted in your newborn's nursery? The artist may use a crackle technique to give the bark of the tree realistic texture.

If you are looking to hire a mural painter but are coming up short on names of individuals to contact, you may want to talk to faux finish painters in your area to see if they can paint murals, in addition to their regular services.
